Craft Envy

Remember how I said I can't craft worth a snow dogs leap over the desert? Well, I can't, but sometimes I dabble. This is a picture of the two cakes I made for my son's birthday. My husband decorated the orange one, and I took over the green. It was so much fun. I will attempt to make a caslte for Abs's birthday. Wish me luck.

  3. I think those turned out fantastic! Don't tell me, you can't craft. You can. You just have to find the right medium that you're comfortable creating with. And heck if it's cake then it can be a win win situation. Great looking creations that you can eat! Wooo Hooo sign me up!

  4. Hey, those are AWESOME! See what happens when you dabble? It sorta makes me a little sick cause I know I'll never make something that cute! And it would take me HOURS to try it! Great job!

  6. Viv, think about it...Can a dog that is adapted to extreme cold make jump over something that is in the desert? The thin air and the heat would be just too much for him to handle...kind of like my skills when crafting!

Thanks ever so much for the compliments. It was yummy, too! And Tink, having a craft you can eat would be the death of me!

  7. Nice job! I think you're better at "crafting" than you give yourself credit for.

  10. Fabuloso! I admire anyone willing to bake. Gives me hives! So to bake AND decorate is quite a achievement. Nice work!!!

  14. I made a castle cake once, so I know you can do it. I used ice cream cones on the corners. It was a lot of fun, but also used waaaay more icing than I like to put on a cake.
